two charming young ladies of Madi¬

Mrs. J. C. Flowers happened to a
painful accident Saturday evening by
stepping into some of the open sewer
in the city and spraing her foot. She
is unable to walk and is suffering a
great deal of pain.

tending Emory college, at Oxford.
The young gentlemen gave an ele¬
gant German to the ladies of the town
on last Friday night. Quite a
large number of visiting young ladies
were present and an enjoyable time
had by all. The music was furnished
by Bearden’s Orchestra, of Atlanta.
