der. Mr. Lester has held this re¬
sponsible position for a number of
years, and has made the Royal Ar¬
canum one of its best officers. His
many friends here and over the State
will be glad to learn of his re-election.

The Mothers Circle held perhaps
one of the most interesting meetings
since its organization on Friday af¬
ternoon at the home of Mrs. Eugene
Everitt. The topic of discussion for
the afternoon was upon the relation
of the mothers to the teachers in the
public schools. The excellent pro¬
gram w 7 as in the hands of Mrs. H. B.
Anderson and Mrs. Mortimer Hays
and was particularly interesting inas¬
much as the teachers of the Coving¬
ton schools were present. Mrs. Ev¬
eritt served the guests, after the bus¬
iness session was over, with delicious
ices and cakes. The next meeting
W'ill be held with Mrs. A. H. Foster.
