Power Company Will Develop Mineral
Spring.
When the Central of Georgia Pow¬
er company were making excavations
in the solid rock bed of the Ocmul
gee river for the big dam that they
have bulit, a mineral spring was dis¬
covered. The water was analyzed by
chemists, and found to he a good min
oral water similar to the famous In¬
dian Springs, about eight miles dis¬
tant.
The representatives of the company
were at the dam a few days ago
making further investigations, and
stated that it was the intention of
the company to develop these springs
When these springs are developed
it will be one of the finest summer o
winter resorts in the south. The
immense basin of water covers about
2,500 acres, and boats can run for 30
miles. Fish abound in these waters,
and lovers of sport can pass time
pleasantly there. It is healthy and
large hills hound the water on every
side.
