Brickstore School.
Professor J. O. Martin came out to
our school at Brick Store this after¬
noon and gave us an interesting talk
the subject of an education. We
were much pleased with his talk.
After hearing Mr. Martin’s talk we
feel more the need of an education,
and we shall strive t' do our best.
Mrs. D. L. Turner is our school
teacher. We think we have the best
teacher in the county.
I am in the seventh grade.

Flint Hill School.
Our school opened October 23rd,
with twenty-nine pupils, but the at¬
tendance is now almost double.
None of the patrons were with us
on the opening day, hut we have
the hearty co-operation of all.
Our teachers as well as we pupils
are all equally enthused with our
work.
Our studies are more than a regu¬
lar routine of school drudgery. They
are interesting and pleasing as well
as instructive.
Each pupil is striving to make this
our banner year, as we are better
equipped for our work than ever be¬
fore.
Our teachers have our welfare at
heart and are never too tired or
busy to explain any difficulty with
which we come in contact.
Our work covers all the common
school work and in addition we ha\ e
three grades of High School work.
Every morning we have devotional
exercises and when the roll is called
each pupil answers to his name with
an appropriate quotation.
The boys are making preparations
to organize their base ball team and
the girls are also making our plans
for ous basket ball match.
We w r ere very glad to have with us
recently our former teacher and pres¬
ent school superintendent, Prof. J.
O. Martin. We highly appreciated
his interesting talk and are always
glad to welcome him
