The Wednesday afternoon Sewing Cluh was delightfully entertained by Miss Annie Maud Greer at her lovely country home on last Wednesday afternoon. The afternoon was pleas¬ antly spent in conversation, music and lui all round good time, after which was served parched peanuts, pop-corn and several varieties of home made candy. Gresham filled his regular ap¬ pointment at the Baptist church Sunday and preached a very forceful sermon. Mrs. Horace Blake of Alexandria. La., ami Mrs. Guy Barclay of Copper Hill, Tenn., spent several days re¬ cently with their aunt, Miss Lizzie Myers. They will he pleasantly re¬ membered as Misses Mary and Anna Myers.
