Miss Bessie Harwell left Monday af¬
ternoon for Milledgeville where she
will spend a week with her mother Mrs
Annie Harwell. She will spend the
summer in Florida.
The many Quitman friends of Miss
Annie White will greet with cordial
interest her decision to return to
Quitman next yea r and retain her
membership of the faculty of the Quit
man High School. Miss White has an
enviable record in primary school work
and is said to be one of the best first
grade teachers in the state.—Quitman

are spending several days in the city
with friends.
Miss Lena Milner who has been a
member of the faculty at Calhoun re¬
turned home Monday to spend the sum¬

Air. Fitzliugh Lee well known citizen
of Covington has ojiened law office
in the Sta r building here and he
glad to have his friends call upon him.
Mr. Lee was admitted to the bar in
Atlanta, Ga.. in 1901. He has many
friends in the city and county and will
no doubt enjoy a good patronage. He
is the son of Dr. and Hrs. .T. W. Lee.

A pretty event of the past week was
the domino party at which Airs. H. D.
Terrell entertained on Saturday after¬
noon at her home on Alontieello street
the affair being a pretty compliment
to Airs. Harry Davis', a recent bride.
The house was tastefully decorated
with quantities of pink roses, ferns and
potted plants. Lillies and ferns were
used in the decorations of the living
room.
The first prize, a dainty embroider¬
ed handkerchief, was won by Airs. Da¬
vis. and she was also presented the
guest pirze, two crocheted mats. The
booby, a box of dominoes went to Mrs.
R. A. Norris. Punch was served
throughout the afternoon and at the
close of the game cream and cake
was served.
Airs. Terrell was assisted in receiv¬
ing and entertaining the guests by Airs.

Davis. About thirty-five guests were
