MISSES POWELL ENTERTAINS.
A most delightful affair of the past
week was that at which Misses Nellie
and Edith Powell entertained a num¬
ber of friends on Monday evening at
their home in NortI\ Covington in
compliment to Miss Louise Williams
and her house guest, Miss Lola Hodge,
of Opelika, Ala.
Punch was served bv Miss Eugenia
Thompson. An interesting feature of
the evening was a love contest, at the
conclusion of which cream and cake
were served.
HOUSE PARTY
Miss Beverlin e Adams will entertain
a delightful house party at her home
on Floyd street beginning Thursday
and lasting through a week and possi¬
bly two. Her guests include, Misses
Mary Alice Robins, of Gray. Julia
Cade, of Washington, Margurite Ad
