The many friends of Mrs. George D.
Butler will regret to bear that she is
quite ill at her home on Conyers street,
and w-ish for her a rapid recovery.
Mrs. S. C. Shockley, of Clacona, Fla.,
and Mrs. M. F. Edge, of near Ameri
cus. arrived in the city Monday night
and are guests of Miss Eppie Shockley.
Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Terrell, Mr. and
Mrs. Bain Terrell, and Misses Maggie
and Carrie Beck Davis made delightful
motor trip to Conyers Sunday after¬
noon.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. White, Mrs.
Berto Lee, Miss Christine White, and
Mr. Charles White made a motor trip
to Atlanta Sunday, where they attend¬
ed church.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Vining, who have
been in Atlanta several weeks, return¬
ed to Covington last w-eek, where the
former has accepted a position with
Mr. George T. Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Harwell an¬
nounce the birth of a daughter, at the
home of the latter’s parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. H. Wood, near Logansville
on Friday, October 6, 1916.

day evening from a motor trip to Amer¬
icas, where he will soon move his fam¬
ily to make their home. Their many
friends will regret to see them leave.
Mr. and Mrs. Berto Lee. Miss Ethel
Worsham, and Mr. Paul Walker went
to Atlanta Thursday to attend “The
Only Girl," at The Atlanta Theatre.

motored to Atlanta Monday in the lat¬
ter’s car.
