CONSERVATION AND PAINT
Destruction of your property by fire is a remote improbability; destruction
by decay and neglect a certainty. You are carrying fire insurance which only pro¬
tects against possible loss, but does not prevent fire, while paint
affords positive protection against decay and depreciation.
Never before in the history ot our country has painting been of greater importance than right now.
You should paint not only to beautify your property, but above everything to conserve and protect it. Economic as well
as patriotic reasons prompt you to refrain from building, for men and material are needed in tbe construction *
of ships and implements of war. The next best thing for you to do is to repaint and refinish
your property— inside and outside—for good paint prolongs tbe life of your property,
increases the value and adds to its appearance.
