H. Thompson, J. T. Wicks (Slooeum lots) and T. D. Strong: on North going West by road to lands formerly owned by Hyer; on West going South to right of way of Geor¬ gia railroad; and on South go¬ ing East by Georgia railroad right of way to starting point at corner of Clark's lot, thus embracing in addition to acre¬ age property the lots fronting on West street—said lots being 100 feet by 200 feet depth, and the said described property be¬ ing what is known as the Dun¬ lap place. Porter, of said coun ty, shows to the Court the fol lowing facts: 1. Petitioners, togetner with their associates desire to be in¬ corporated under the name of H. I. WEAVER & COMPANY, for a period of twenty years, with the right to renew said charter at the expiration of said time. 2. The object of said corpo¬ ration is pecuniary gain and to corry on and maintain a gener¬ al mercantile business in the Town of Porterdale, where its principal office is located, but petitioners desire the right to establish branch offices within this state or elsewhere, when¬ ever the holders of a majority of the stock may so determine, and to this end to buy and sel goods, wares and merchandise, cotton, com and other arth-ie o? articles that may be der.lt by the said corporation, vrA tc make contracts, borrow nicney, loan money, sue and be ruea and do any and all acts that may be necessary in the opera¬ tion of said business. 3.
