CAR WIPER KILLED
LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
Horace Cannon, a colored car wiper
in the employ of the Central of Geor¬
gia Ut.ilway, was instantly killed last
Friday afternou when lie attempted
to hoard passenger train No. 27 at the
West street crossing in this city.
Evidently Cannon misjudged the
speed of No. 27. and missing the hand
railing he rolled over a number of

Sunday the Sunday School cclehrated
Children's Day with “ail day” exer¬
cise and singing. There was a large
attendance and many weli-fllied ban¬
kets. Every one seemed to be having
a good time. Especially was “The Nut"
impressed with the joy and sunshine
and genial good fellowship that
beamed and fairly exuded from the
benign countenance of the popular and
