held at the- home of Mrs. R. L. iae,
in Oxford. The chapter members
held a business meeting after which ari
interesting program, was carried out.
Mrs. W. C. Clark gave an interesting
talk on “Parts Before the War." Pre¬
vious to the war Mrs. Clark was a res¬
ident ®f France two years. The talk
of Mrs. Clark was so interesting that
by a unanimous vote of the chapter
Mrs. Clark was asked to continue her
talks at the next meeting. This Mrs.
Clark consented to do.
Mrs: Edgar ft. W. Gunn gave a pi¬
ano solfi from Mozart’s “A Major So
nate.”
Mrs. Paine, the hostess, showed the
chapter a pair of eye-glasses worn by
Joseph Eigon, an ancestor of hers, dur¬
ing fhe Revolutionary War.
Mrs. Paine was assisted in serving
refreshments by her danghter. Miss
Mary Paine.
