KNIGTIIS TEMPLAR BANQUET
An event of Tuesday evening was
tin- banquet the Knights Templar
tendered an honored visitor, Mr. T,
R. Ridley, of Dalton, inspector the
Grand Commandery, at the Mason¬
ic Temple. After inspection duty was
completed, the evening was devoted

WOMAN’S CLUB MEETING
AN INTERESTING EVENT
The March meeting of the Wo¬
man's Club was held at the home of
Miss Salih- May Cook Tuesday after¬
noon, the hostesses on this occasion
being Mrs. Cook, Mrs. C. C. King,
Mrs. w. D. Travis, Mrs. Dudley Wil¬
liams. Mrs. G. C. Crisp, Mrs. Walker
Combs, Mrs. Joe Pittman, Mrs J.
W. Lee and Mrs. It. W. Milner.
SI. Patrick decorations were car¬
ried out in full detail, with a profu¬
sion of jonquils nad other blossoms
oti cabinets and mantels, and Sham¬
rock much in evidence.
After the business session a most
interesting musical and literary pro¬
gram followed, which included Sket¬
ches of Saint Patrick, Legends of
the Shamrock and of Leap Year,
Irish Literature, Song by Misses
Florence Wells and Winnie Huson.
and a piano solo by Miss Fletcher
Lou Lunsford.
Much merriment was provoked by
a huge Saint Patrick's pie in a pan
hung with garlands of Shamrock.
The guests assembled around the
big ire in the living room, the pie was
passed and each one drew an Irish
joke, which was read aloud, each one
getting more "Irish.”
Delicious refreshments wore served
consisting of salad, sandwiches and
coffee.

The undersigned, whose names, sign¬
ed by each of them, and residences are
hereto attached, brings Ibis, their pe¬
tition in pursuance of an Act of the
Genera! Assembly of tlie State of
Georgia, approved August Kith, 1919,
and respectfully show:
First.
That: we desire to form a corpora¬
tion for the purpose of carrying on
the business of banking, the name and
style of winch shall be known as The
Farmers Banking Company, Covington,
Georgia.
Second.
The location of its office and princi¬
pal place of business shall be located
in the city of Covington, county of
Newton, state of Georgia.
Third.
The amount of capital stock of the
proposed corporation is Thirty Thou¬
sand ($30,000.00) Dollars.
Fourth.
The said capital stock is divided in¬
