VV. C. T. U. To Put on Active
Campaign for Month of August.
In accord with the National \V. C. T.
U. plan launched last year for a
lion Dollar Million Members” the
Georgia \V. C. T. U. having succeeded
in raising and paying every dollar of
Georgia's quota to tiiis fund lias now
turned their efforts and energies to
covering their quota of the million
members willed for by National.
The Georgia membership work was
formally launched at the State
vention last fall when a plan was
adopted by Georgia which plan on ac
count of the military idea was
•Million Membership Army”
This plan lias been steadily used
throughout the State since September
with great results, many Unions doub
ling their membership within a short
perid of time.
Under this plan comes (lie Big
Double Membership Campaign for the
month of August, the special effort be¬
ing that every Union in the State
double their membership between the
first (lay of August and the 28th, in
elusive. Special designed posters
this work are now being placed in all
the churches of this section and other
public places. This poster shows that
thj, Georgia W. C. T. U. work em¬
braces. giving the name* of all depart,
intuits being operated by this great or¬
ganization in the State. The cross rep¬
resents Christian service and radiating
from the cross are all the numerous
departinens of work.
Covington Union is now called on to
do her part of this great work and
the W. C. T. TJ. women are taking
active steps to he in readiness for the
campaign, which will be carried on
during the month of August and be
in charge of the following ladies: Mrs.
T. X. Gary. Mrs S D Waites. Mrs Ud
Hutchins, Mrs. Ud Martin. Mrs. W. C.
Clark. Mrs. Henry Pickett. Mrs. Count
Gibson, Mrs. IT. Kilpatrick. Mrs. Paul
Walker and Mrs. E. O. Lee.
