As a means of reducing labor costs

In addition to the farm machinery

Fordson Farming and its economic

the value of power farming more gen¬

WEEKLY COTTON LETTER
By Savannah Cotton Factorage Co.
The cotton market advanced this
week when it was discovered that
Japanese interests were stopping O
tuber notices in New York, and ship
ping the cotton abroad. More than
50.000 bales were reported taken
b.v the Japs in New York alone, an!
probably got a good supply at
New Orleans and other southern
points.
The other bullish news this week
was
A better demand for dry goods, both
in American and English markets.
i
a " unfavorable Weather report on
Wednesday
Kxports from August 1st to date
amount to 848.496 bales against only
423,006 last year, or an increase of
more than 100 per cent.
There has been a great deal of prof¬
it-taking during the past day or two
b.v those \\ ho wished to even up until
after the bureau report nn Monday,
October 3rd. Much cotton was sold at
from 20 1 -2c to 21 I 2c, but sales will
probably be smaller from this time
forward unless there is- a further
vance in price. Owners of cotton arc
unwilling to part with their lots

RENEWED AFTER

Dallas. Texas—Strange are the hap¬

the romance of Edmond Wegener, who
celebrated his fifty-fourth birthday
here recently by remarrying the sweet¬
heart of his childhood.
Wegener had devoted his life to a
nation-wide search for the bride he
lost twenty-.seveji years ago when her
parents annulled their marriage. Last

the best months of the year. They are
months of beauty, months of

month of memories. We remember it
because it was the time we went
buck to school, the time we returned
to college, the time when we felt most
keenly the zest of living.
September bears its own lamp, it
brings its own orchestra, which plays
a lively march turn-. It calls men and
women to work, boys and girls to
study. The summer playtime is over.
