The dinner at which Mr. and Mr*. 1
H. Adams were hosts on Monday
was an artistic success in
detail.
The home on Floyd street was
wreathed in holly and Christmas col¬
ors. Hand painted cards were distri¬
buted to the guests before entering
the prettily appointed dining room.
Each card represented the floral de¬
sign of the hand-painted dinner ser¬
vice Quite a bit of merriment occurr¬
ing in the harmonious seating.
On the back of these cards the hos¬
tess had written her will. Unique and
original were the generous behests
the recipients were made rich in¬
deed .
Narcissi formed the fragrant deco¬
ration in the center of the table.
A giant turkey with accessories
featured a perfect Christmas feasr.
Misses Julia Muse and Sylvia Adams
donned white aprons and proved neat
handed maidens in their prompt and
ready service.
The guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Fitz
E. Heard and Mr. and Mrs. W. A.
Muse.
KITCHENS MEADORS
A wedding of interest to their friends
occurred Sunday afternoon, December
25, 1921, at the home of the bride’s pa¬
rents, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Kitchens, of
Mansfield, was that of their daughter,
Ila, to Mr. Frank Meadors, of Coving
Rev. J. W. O. McKibbons, of Deca¬
tur performed the ceremony in the
presence of a number of invited guests,
including friends and relatives of both
the bride and groom.
The wedding march was played by
Airs. Hugh McGarity, a cousin of the
groom, and was from Lohengrin and
during the ceremony Mrs. McGarity
played “To a Wild Rose.”
The bride was becomingly attired in
a traveling suit of brown duvetyne
with harmonious accessories. Her flow¬
ers were shower boquet of bride's roses
and white hyacinths.
After the ceremony, the bridal party
was givoo a reception at the home of
groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R.
Members, near Covington. A delightful
fotir course luncheon was served.
The bride is an attractive daughter
of Mr. and Airs. T. J. Kitchens, of
Alansfitld, and has a wide circle of’
friends.
The groom is a popular young busi¬
ness man of CoVfcsgton.
After a short wedding trip they will
be at home to their friends in Coving
ten .
CHRISTMAS FESTIVITIES GALORE
A number of parties have brightened
the Yuletide season.
Miss Lenore Ellis entertained infor¬
mally Monday evening for her broth¬
ers, Messrs. Marshall and Paul Ellis,
and the house guests.
Mrs. G. L. Waites was hostess at an
affair this week given for her Sunday
school class of the Methodist church.
Mr. and Mrs. Will Cook gave open
sesame at their suburban home Mon¬
day evening. Music ‘and variety of di¬
versions were enjoyed.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Sockwell and
Miss Salliemae gave a family dinner
on Christmas day to which were bidden
the Mobley-Sockwell relatives.
FEE- MEADOR
A marriage of much interest was
that of Miss Lucile Fee to Mr. Lestev
Memlor, of Covington, which was sol¬
emnized by Rev. G, W. Duval at the
Methodist parsonage in Conyers on
Wednesday afternoon, December 14. at
1:30 o'clock.
The bride was lovely in a brown suit
with squirrel trimmings with hat and
accessories to match. •
Airs. Meador is the youngest daugh
ter of Air. and Mrs. W. T. Fee, and has
a host of friends who wish her much
happiness in her new home. Mr. Mead
r is a prominent young man of Cov¬

PARTIES.
A series of pretty parties were given
by Mr. and Airs. J. A. Vaughn this
week. Guests were invited for two
, tallies of Bridge and one of Rook at
the afternoon party, Tuesday. The
honorees were Misses Lucy Vaughn, of
Conyers and Hazel Borquin. of Adel.
The decorations featured miniature
Christmas trees and a jardinere of
gorgeous poinsettas. A salad course
was served with hot tea.
In the evening a group of congenial
friends asembled for music, dancing
and progresive conversation. A salad
course was served with coffee.
