DETAILS OF TRADE OFFER
(1.) This contest is open to all except em¬
ployes of The Covington News.
(2.) Prizes will be awarded on the basis of
the number of votes received by each contes¬
tant, one vote to be given with each TEN
CENTS worth of merchandise purchased
from any firm whose advertisement appears
in the PRIZE PAGE published in THE
NEWS each week.
(3.) The first prize will be awarded to the
person having the largest number of votes
secured from the various firms on this page;
the second prize to the second largest num¬
ber of votes, etc. In case of a tie between
any two contestants, the prizes in question
will be equally divided between the two.
(4.) Coupons for votes can be issued only
by firms whose advertisements appear on
the Prize Page of The News.
(5.) Votes will be awarded on the PAY¬
MENT OF MONEY, either in a CASH trans¬
action or in the SETTLEMENT of OLD
ACCOUNTS, or weekly or monthly charge
accounts if paid promptly when they become
due.
(6.) All Individuals, Societies or Organi¬
zations of any kind are eligible to enter this
contest. Purchases made by one person may
be credited to the voting account of another,
PROVIDED, such credit is made before 1 the
votes are deposited in the ballot box in The
News Office. ,
(7.) All votes must be placed in envelope,
sealed, signed and deposited before the close
of the contest in a box provided for this pur¬
pose in The News office. The box will not be
opened nor will there be any count made of
any votes until the contest is over.
(8.) Votes will be counted by Voting Cou¬
pons furnished contestants by firms whose
advertisements appear on this page.
(9.) The prizes will be awarded as soon
after the contest is over as a committee ap¬
pointed for the purpose can check the votes.
(10.) On 6 Months Subscription to The
Covington News 250 votes will be given and
on Yearly Subscriptions 500 votes will be
allowed.
