to Metro
students
Nearly 20,000 students in public
and private schools of the 15-
county Metro Atlanta area have
been rewarded for their high
scholastic standing during the
school year 1975-1976.
WSB Radio and The Atlanta
Braves provided three pairs of
free, reserved-seat tickets to a
selected group of Braves home
baseball games to the students
who entered the 1976 WSB-
Atlanta Braves Straight A
Program. Students in the fifth
through 12th grades were permit
ted to apply, with their school
officials supplying the Atlanta
Braves with certified validation of
their "Straight A" average during
the next-to-last grading period of
the 1975-1976 school year.
Bob Hope, director of Public
Relations for The Atlanta Braves,
said the Braves have been “de
lighted" at response to this year’s
“Straight A" promotion, and that
approximately 55,000 free tickets
were distributed under the pro
gram. Hope added: “We all feel
this is an excellent way to honor
scholarship and we thank WSB
Radio for outstanding cooperation
and sensitivity to the communi
ty."
WSB Radio Vice President and
General Manager Elmo Ellis said
he is proud of the “fine results”
of the "Straight A" campaign, a

achieve high scholastic rating,”
