The Gum Creek Girls’ Club recently held an annual banquet at
Prospect United Methodist Church, where new officers were in
stalled. Mrs. Margaret Tucker was guest speaker and installed of
ficers for the occasion. Enjoying the event are 11-r) Sandra Goss,
corresponding secretary; Cindy Evans, treasurer; Debra Goss,
president; Mrs. Tucker, guest speaker; Bonnie Jenkins, vice
president; and Fay Goss, secretary.

Debra Goss was installed as
president of The Gum Creek
Girls’ Club at an annual banquet
Oct. 9 at Prospect United Metho
dist Church.
Other officers installed were
Bonnie Jenkins, vice president;
Fay Goss, secretary; Cindy
Evans, treasurer; and Sandra
Goss correspondin secretary.
Manufacturing industries in the

hours a week at a wage of 14-15
cents an hour while their con
temporaries in the postal service
worked 48 hours per week and
earned 37 cents an hour.
Rev. Lawrence Lockett gave a
brief devotional message, and
Mrs. Margaret Tucker, guest
speaker, installed the officers.
Each member received a
necklace for her outstanding work
and all enjoyed a great meal and
fine fellowship.
The meeting was closed with a
selection of tunes sung by the
Goss Sisters.
