Now, Mr. Editor, 1 aui lor that old Jeffersonian Democracy, that guarantees to every male citizen hi* right of franchise, provided, he has paid his tax, and has not been convicted of felony; as prescrilied by law; am for a government by the people, and for the people, equal rights to all, and special privileges to none, majority rule, a speedy, and impartial trial by the repeal of all bad laws, and the inforcement of the good in our midst. And to accomplish this end the people will have to take the reigns of government in their own hands, and legislate into practical operation such enactments as will benefit not only Wall street and the national bank ing system, but th’e people in toto And would advise that for the accom plishment of these ends that every State in this grand old republic, and every county in the states, take independent action at once, and bring a\»out speedy reform, Cleveland or no Cleveland. This is all tliat will bring it. It is high time, fellow citizens, that we ivere beginning to profit by our own mistakes.
