School News.
(By Miss Vie Swanson, )
The lots wére cast and it fell to
to me to write the school letter
this week.
First, I will say a card of thanks
ought to be handed to our kind
trustees, who so quickly responded
to our call for new black-boards,
erasers and other improvements. |
The windows now are raised by
pulleys and new panes take the
place of all the old broken ones,
They haven't yet been washed,
but Mr, Perry isso neat that it will
not be long before we will have a
“tofear out ook,
The naw doors at the back of the
house are a. great improvement,
and Mr. Perry tells us that we are
to have fresh paint applied in onr
rgom before we begin our spring
term. Also, before three months
have expired we shall have a nice
library 1a our room,
I am sure our (rustees are sweet
natured gentlemen and will not be
impatient with me when [ ask for
ancther very much needed im
proyement. Up in the chapel a
stove is so badly needed we have
nat been able to hold our exercises
since it has been cold, and the
sichiolars miss them so much, We
would be so glad if we could hold
our ercises every mormng when
begin our spring term, the first
Monday in January.
Next Friday the ninth and
cighth grades are to have contest
«n the capitals of South America.
“i hese contests are very interest
any and instructive,
Hurrah for the snow! which did
' not last long enough for us to ¢n
joy the accustomed rnow-balling.
1 will close after saying the
whole school is in love with Mr.
Perry,
Visitors will be cordialiy wel
comed at all hours.
