In arecent article in the Youths

opens the poresof the skin and
leaves the syste in such condi~

Reputation. .
The repatation of a man is ma'e
up of what people say of him. In
like manner the reputation of a
‘medicine depends on what they
who have used it say. No remedy
n existence has 80 good a reputa
tion as a blood remedy as B. B. B.
(Botanie Blood Balm). It is a
successful physician’s preseription
and quickly cures both mild and.
terrible cases of bad blood.
Dr. L. A. Guild, Atlanta, Ga,
writes: ““Wm. Sealock, living on
my place, had an ugly running
uleer on his arm which ordinary
remedies failed to countrol. As a
last resort I placed him on a use of
B. B. B. and the ulcer becan to
heal at once, aund effected an entire
cure. It is a remedy well worthy
of confidence.”
Dr. J. E. Hull, druggist at
Americus, Ga., writes: “A plan~
ter near this place had several of
his best laborers afficted with
Syphilis. He get them B. B, B.
and pronounces them all well. A
gang of Au P. & L. railroad hands
use B. B. B. with great benefit to
counteract the cffects of swamp
malaria.”
After the Goveraor.
Selicitor -General Brantley is
waging war on Gevernor Gordon
Gordon because he commuted the
d :ath sentence of Lewi: Phillips to
life imprisonment. Mr. Brantley
says Phillips committed an atro
cious murder in Wayne county,
and the governor’s action isagreat
injustice to the people. In anins
terview with the Brunswick Times |
Mr. Brantly said: “There neveri
has been a hsnging in Wayne
‘county by process of law, and the
‘conviction among the viciously ine
)diued that there never w'll be
seems to have been strengthened,
if recent events in that county can
beso eonstrued. Phallips was to
have been hung on the 13th ot
jast December at Jesup. He was
not hung, however, and the public
knows too well ot the fearful loss of
life that tollowed on (hristmas
day."

Just how good a thingitis. It you

Timely Talk.
The Camilla Clarion, the editor
of which isa practical farmer s
well as a preacher, gives the tarme
ers the following timely advice:
It will be a sal nistake for the
farmer to presume that because
last year wasa good erop year
he may expect the same
prosperity next fall. Hope for the
‘best and prepare for the worst.—
Economy came 1n last year to belp
‘the farmer's cause. It will be a
;}sin to neglect it in the future.
It will bea more presumptous
sin to plant too much cotton.—
There is danger just here. It has
been a custom, and a lanentable
one, to foltow good cropsand good
prices with a great increase in
cotton acreage. Don’t do it. We
have no assurance that cotton will
be worth more than cight cents, if
that. God will not provide for a
farmer who does not provide for
the wuecessitics of his own
farm. Raise corn, potatoes,
syrup, melons, hay, hogs, horses
and catttle, Don't gamble when
you farm. Take no more risks
than are absolutely necessary.
There is risk enough at best iu
everything ia this poor werld,
It tells a sad tale of adventurous
farming to read of the hundreds ot
mules being sold ona credit in this
section. Many buy or rent land
on a credit, buya niuleon a creds
it, buy meat and biead on a credit
at an enormous rate of interest and
then next summer and fall will ery
out there is no money in farming.
There is no money and ought
to be no money inany business run
on such reckiess methols, It is
not farmipg. It is gambling.
