DAWSOX’S BUILDING BOOM.
Contractors and Architeets Have all
They Can Do,
Dawson is building up more
ripidly now then at any other
period in her history.
The contractors and architeets
have more than they can do aud,
in fact, hands eannot be had to do
near all the work of house build
g that is already planned and let
out to the coutractors.
This statement is verified by the,
architects and the builders all over
the city.
Scores of new residences are be
ing planned for commencement
next sprinz, and almost every day
sees the completioa of some hand
some and costly edifice.
Besides their home work, the
Dawson designers and eontractors
are being sought in other citics.
In Dawsou, the number o: busi
ness houses going up is no less
wonderful than the pumerous resi
dences, from mansion to cottage,
being rapidly pushed to comple
tion in all parts of the city.

GOSSIP.
A SERIOUS MATTER.
There is an unwonted scarcity ot
vacant dwellings in Dawson, and
the demand is inereasing daily.
Hal? a dozen parties have been in
the city this weck in quest nf“
houses, and others are only detcrrs
el from coming by a knowledge ot
the city’s inability to accommodate
them. Thisis getting to be a ser- |
ious question, and it is one that
eifects most vitally the future
growth aud prosperiy of the town. |
We respecttully commend it to the’
consideration of those who have the
means to supply this urgent need,
and trust they will be equally
prowpt and ready in meeting the
cmergency.
