: BRONWOON BRIEFS.
Mr. Robert Bryan died Friday. He
had been confined to his bed for six
months, but his relatives and friends had
hopes of his recovery until a month ago,
when he waa called upon to give up bLis
good wife, to. whom he was so devoted.
Since then the dreaded disease, ,oon-‘
sumption, has baffied medical skill and
kindp and tender care, and he passed away.
at 5 o'clocka, m. Mr Bryan leaves two
children; a four-year-old boy and a six-'
months-old babe, besides a large aumber
of relatives and friends, to mourn his
death, His remains were interred in the
city cemetery Friday evening at 5 o'clock.

Misses Lucile and Floye Chappell and
Emma Thonipson, who have been visit
ing in Howe, Ala., returned home Fri
day. They were accompanied home by
Miss Enla Welborn, one of Howe's pretty
and accomplished young ladies.
The protracted meeting, which started
at the Methodist church two weeks ago
last Sunday, continues and much good is
being accomplished, Zhere {have been
thirteen accessions to the church during
the meeting.
Mrs. Jim Bishop and her two pretty
and sweet little girls, of Birmingham,
Ala,, are visiting Mrs. J. T. Ragan.

ing lectures at the Atlanta Medical Col
lege, is at home spending vacation,
