ONLY ONE LITTLE LAW SUIT.
Less Litigation in Terrell County Than
Ever Before Known. Small Civil
Docket Will Confront Judge.
There never was less litigation in
Terrell county than at present, and if
abs ence of lawsuits is an evidence of
prosperity a better cogdition than
exists here could not be hoped for or
even desired.
Mr. W. S. Dozier, clerk of the supe
rior court, tells The News thatonly ooe
suit, and that a small and unimportant
one, has been filed in his office since
‘the May term, and that he knows of
none that will be.
Next Tuesday is the last day oo
which suits can be brought for the
November term of court, which wili
'convene on the 28th inst., and the
probabilities are that Judge Sheffield
will find here the smallest civil docket
since he has been on the bench.

VOTERS NOT INTERESTED,
Only About Twenty Have Regis
tered for the City Primary,
The apatby of voters is not confined
to national and state politics by any
means. It would be hard to find great
er indifference anywhere than now
seems to prevail in regard to the ap
proaching city primary, which will be
held on the 14th !inst.—now less than
two weeks distant.
Although the books have been open
for two weeks, up to yesterday a4t noon
only 19 voters had registered and
thereby placed themselves in position
to vote in this election. Registration
will close on the 9th, and all who fail to
visit the office of the clerk before that
date and place their names on the book
will be barred from a voice in choos
ing officials who will manage the
affairs of the town during the next
year,
