There are two or three criminal cases which will probably be disposed of. Crop j.—So far as Terrell, Calboun, Webster, and Lee counties aro con cerned, we have no doubt, with the con tinuance of good seasons, they will make •early enough corn for home consump tion. From various sources wj learn there w mi re corn planted,—in pr 'por tion to the general crop—than has been eke vase in several years, ard wc hive never seen it looking better at this sea eon of the year. So far as we are cna Med to judge, it has bren necessary for our farmers to replant nearly one-half the eotton, rendering that portion a lit tle beckwatk. There is a (ice stand, however, from the second planting. Where replanting was not rendered nec essary, the crop ia lorward, and in ex cellent condition. —We have heard of many teres on which it will average ten inakca in height From the crop of sugar beets raised in Cataworth, Illinoia, they have made one hundred thousand pounds of nioe su gar.
