A Female Mooushiner. Several days ago a band of rev enue raidets pounced down upon aun illicit still belonging to Mus. [auny Smith, of Siaking Monn tain fame, and arrested two men at work there. They did not mo lost any of the property, however, as under the new ruling of the revenue department in Georgin, this is the duty of Collector Cren shaw’s force. The many visitors to Tallulah, who have eaten of Aunt Fanny’s good country din ners, will regret to learn that she has fallen into the stern hand of the law. —Macon Telegraph. An Important Discovery. To test the purity of water there -has been found no better or sim pler way than to fill a half-pint flask one-eight full of the water to be tested; dissolve in the water four tablespounfuls of the purest sugar, (loaf or granulated will do) shake well, then squeeze in the juiee of half a lemon, shake again. Then fill the remaining seven eights of the bottle with Old Crow, or Mt. Zion Bourben, or sour mash will do very well; shake again; then insert a cork, and slip the compound, bottle and all, in your pocket and go fishing. If you don’t want to fish, drink all but the water, and throw the bottle at a mud-turtle. A megress on the plantation of H. B. Ferrell, near Huntsboro, Ala., gave birth to a child which had two fully developed heads on two fully developed necks. Both heads were covered with hair, and each face presentel distinet feat ures. There was only one body, but with two entirely distinct fronts, both showing it was two distinet males. It had three logs, four arms and four hands, with one arm having a foot on one side and a hand on the other. The child was still-born, but was fully developed, and weighed ten or twelve pounds.
