To test the purity of water there
-has been found no better or sim
pler way than to fill a half-pint
flask one-eight full of the water to
be tested; dissolve in the water
four tablespounfuls of the purest
sugar, (loaf or granulated will do)
shake well, then squeeze in the
juiee of half a lemon, shake again.
Then fill the remaining seven
eights of the bottle with Old Crow,
or Mt. Zion Bourben, or sour mash
will do very well; shake again;
then insert a cork, and slip the
compound, bottle and all, in your
pocket and go fishing. If you
don’t want to fish, drink all but
the water, and throw the bottle at

I Lave been sutfering from rheumatism in
the muscles of my riglit shoulder and neck.
During this time [ have tried various rem

an improvement by the time I had taken
one bottle. I have been taking it at inter
