AMERICAN PRESS ASSOCIATION, Foreign Adv. Representative WILDCAT OIL AND EXPORT SHARES If you fecl a strong urge in your innards to buy stock securities, don’t invest in oil shares. They may be “wildcat” and you may join the innumerable multitude of rural citizens who collectively lost hundreds of millions in “oils” during the past two years. If you feel the strong urge in your innards to buy stock shares, it is better to buy the “export” sccurities that are soon to be offered to the big bankers’ corporation that recently organized cooperative ly and patriotically for the simple purpose of selling more of the products of America to Europe—especially farm products. Europe hasn’t the money to buuy; not right now.” It needs credit and its credit is poor because its currency systems are strained to the ut most. Result is that although they are in great need of our corn wheat and cotton and meats, they have cut down their orders and are getting along without. The leading bankers of the United States met recently and sub scribed one hundred million dollars for a corporation which will advance perhaps a billion of credit. When this begins to operate, the foreigners will be able to order much more from the American farmer and pay him for it through the “export” corporation. The interest this new “export” corporation will pay on its secur ities may not:be large but the securities will be safe. And if farm investors buy them, they may be pretty sure of added interest from the increased prices they will get for their products, said increased prices ben due to the greater demand. | We do not advise anybody where to invest their spare dollars.
