The teachers of Ben Hill County
met at the Library Saturday morning
October 16th, After roll call by Supt,
Bullard, there was an election of of

“Primary Methods” were discussed
by Miss Aline Turner,
“Deficiency in Our Schools” by Prof
Lamb,
Athletics by Prof, B, F, Shuler,
“Seed Selection” by Mr. Owens,
“Influence of Teachers" by Editor
Gelders,
Music on the Victrola by Mrs. O, L,
Bradshaw.
Dr, Turner offered his services in
making examinations of the school
children,
Prof, Penland appointed Miss Turn
er, Miss Hobgood and Prof, Theo Mid
dlebrooks to arrange program for the
next meeting. B
Last but not least Mrs, Turner, Pres,
of the Woman’s Club extended a cor
dial invitation to the teachers to be
their guest during the noon hour, A
most delicious dinner was served and
a rising vote of thanks was given them
[for their gracious hospitality.

At 12:30 a two course luncheon was

prom party given by the eighth grade
on Friday evening at the home of
Mrs, R. I, Maffett,
The decorations for the evening
which were in charge of Mrs_ Cliff
Sanders were beautifully and artisti
cally arranged. Quantities of hand
made yellow roses were used though
out the rooms and yellow crepe paper
shaded the lighs and cast a pretty soft
vellow glow over the rooms,
Punch and sandwiches and wafers
‘were served during the evening by
little Misses Frances Denmark, Leo
‘Weaver, Ida Nelle Turner and Ola
‘Massey Maffett,
' Mrs. A, H, Denmark and Miss Thel
'ma Temple assisted Mrs. Maffett in
