last year, and promise an average.
Hama are well podded, and will bo an I

The hay harvest, which was late this
year, and 1* not yet finished in northern

crop; though better tlian anticipated in
early spring, is not above three-fourths
of an average, and is coarse in quality.
Except in hay district*, this crop is not

5,000,000 acre* in the United Kingdom,

health of much stock and thu rent of
much land depend* upon it, it is of more
importance than many are accustomed to
