THIS day came before me Jeremy
Stone, who being duly sworn saith
that some time in the year eighteen
hundred and twenty-one thisdeponent
transferred and delivered to Roger
McCall, a note on William Shipp for
fifteen dollars; one note on William
Horne for thirty-nine dollars, and also
one note on James Phillips for twenty -
three dollars forty three and three
fourth cents. The first note was due
the 25th December 1821 ; the other
two notes were payable to this depo
nent one day after the date, all elated
in that year; and there were no cred
its on either of them when traded to
said McCill.

About five feet, five or six inches
high, thick lips, rather slow of
speech, and fine voice, long visage
and pretty artful, she is about thirty
years of age —had on when she
went away a blue striped N. Home
spun frock. Also, her son about
nine or ten years old, named
HENRY,
A very bright Mulatto, with
grey eyes, had on a dark woolen
homespun coat, black and white
striped pantaloons, and good boot*
tees.
A generous reward will be given
and all reasonable expences paid
to any person delivering them to
me, or securing them in Jail, so
that I may get them again. Per
haps she was taken away by some
villain or villains, or joined the
negroes of some people moving to
the Western country, there were
some passed Brier Creek on that
evening.
One hundred dollars reward will
be given for apprehending them
with the negroes, so that they may
be brought to conviction. Sylvia
and her son were brought from.
Newbern, N.C. in 1815,by Jame*
R. Bryant. She was once o>ned
by a Mr. Jarvis in that pl^ce.
