However mitch the people are bored with Clocks throughout, still I propose to come to the front this Sellson with a handsome line from the best manufacturers in the land, at manufacturers’ prices in order that the people may know what they are paying for Clocks throughout the country. I propose to give the wholesale price list of the same to the public. F. r instance, when the St. Louis I alerklar Clock Co., were sell ing the Seth Thomas Parlor Calendar No. 3 Clock to hundreds and I might pay thous ands, at the exhorhitant price of $33, they cost honest dealers in New York, by the single elbck, $10, and of course the peddler bought them for less money by taking them by the hundred, thus making the swindle still greater. So you see at once when you bought from the peddler, who had no reputation to sustain. you paid him more than enough money for one clock to purchase three, lience I feel it my yrivilege, as well as my duty, injustice not only to my business, but to my patr ns and friends, to warn them all such parties, who care nothing for reputation, or for the interest of those to whom they sell.
