Instructions Issued. Major Mallet has issued the follow ing differentiations to all boards: 1. Paragraph A, of section 121-K which reads, “Persons engaged in the servng of food and drink, or either, in public places, including ho tels and social clubs,” does not. in dude managers, clerks, cooks oi other employees unless they are en gaged in the serving of food and drink, or either. 2. In paragraph B, section 121-K which reads, “Passenger elevator operators and attendants, and door men, footmen, carriage openers, and other attendants in clubs, hotels, .'tores, apartment houses, office buildings and bathhouses,' the words •‘other attendants” does not include bell boys and porters unless such porters are engaged in heavy work 3. Paragraph C. of section 121-K '.vhich reads, “Persons including ush era and other attendants, engaged 'ml occupied in and in connection with games, sports and amusements excepting a dual performers in ligit 'mate concerts, operas and theatri cal performances,” includes, in addi tion to ushers and other attendants all persons engaged and occupied in games, sports and amusements, ex cept actual Performers in iigitimate concerts, ope as or theatrical per tormances. 4. Paragraph D, section 121-K which reads, "Persons employed in domestic service,” does not include public or private chauffeurs unless they are also engaged in other occu pations or employment defined b' the regulations as non-productivt ;:nd non-essential. 5. Paargraph E, section 121-K which reads, "Sales clerks and other clerks employed in stores and othei mercantile establishments,” the fol lowing are not included: “Store e:: eciltives, managers, f and the heads of such department as accounting, financial, advertising credit, purchasing, delivering, receiv ing, shippng and other departments; registered pharmacists employed in wholesale and retail drug stores oi establishments; traveling salesmen buyers, delivery drivers, electricians engineers, carpenters, upholsters and any employees doing heavy work old side the usual duties of clerks. 6. Paragraph E, section 121-K which reads, “Sales clerks and other clerks employed in stores and otlie mercantile establishments engaged in elude the clerical force in the office and in all departments of stores and mercantile establishments. 7.
