L PERCY DEATH OF LITTLE MAGGIE SHEPHERD On November 5 the death an'iel visit ed the home of Mr. George Shepherd, and took away from him hie little three-months-old daughter. They all have our heartfelt sympathy. It was laid to rest in Raccoon cemetery, near it h mother, who departed this life about three* months ago. The funeral was conducted by Rev. C. E Lundy, of Stilesboro church, who made a beauti ful talk over the remains. A TRUE FRIEND. PECULIAR CIRCUMSTANCE. A peculiar circumstance in politics was stated yesterday by Judge George Harris, who said that the election of Alf Taylor as governor of Tennessee re calls the fact that two sisters, one an aunt of Judge Harris’ wife, were the mothers of three governors—Governor Harris, pt Georgia, and the Taylor brothers, of Tennessee, both of whom have been chief executives of that state. FARM BUREAU CAMPAIGN A representative gathering of farm ers and business men met at *.h court house Monday morning, and there heard discussions on ways and means for the organization of a farm bureau in Bartow county. Committees were named and special ists announced they would spend this week assisting local committees to se cure members for this great organiza tion.
