Rdwards to preach at the Baptist church. Able and Interesting sermons were delivered, and everyone seemed so happy to hear this good man preach to them again. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Harllng and Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Davis motored to Bor den-Wheeler Springs, Ala., last Sunday week, where they spent the day most pleasantly at this delightful summer resort. Miss Maud McGinnis is spending a few days In Atlanta with relatives. Miss Helen Davis was the dinner guest of Miss Lula Taylor last Sun day. Mr. Durand Nelson, of Spring Creek, visited friends here Sunday. Mrs. Taylor and Miss Mary Ayer, of Llgon, and Miss Kathleen Ayer, of Har bin’s hospital, spent Sunday with Dr. and Mrs. R. E. Ponder, Miss Elva Davis, a popular nurse of Harbin's hospital, is at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Davis, for a two weeks' vacation. U. enjoyed a plea nant social meeting last Thursday evening at the beautiful suburban home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Sproull. A number of games were played, after which refreshments were served, con sisting of Ice cream and cake. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Harllng and eons, Edwin and Francis, of Atlanta, and Miss Bennie Abbott, of Acworth, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Har llng. Miss Abbott will remain for a visit of several days. ( Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Dorsey and chil dren * pent Sunday afternoon In Car tersvllle with Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Dodd. Mrs Cart Davis and little son Ralph have been visiting relatives near Ma cedonia. Hon. W. D. Trlppe was elected a trustee last week of the Taylorsville school. Mr. B. O. Davis' term bavins expired. With this most beloved and honored citizen on our school board, we feel sure that he, together with our other two able true tea. Mr. J. W. Tay lor and Mr. Henry Jolley, will do all in their power to see that we have one of the best schools the coming term that we have ever had. Miss lrvtng, of Shellman, Ga., and Miss Milner, of Car tersvllle, have been elected assistant teachers in our school. Both of these ladles come very highly recommended. Rev. L. A.
