Mr. Arthur Branton spent Saturday night with Mr. Lawrence Layton, of Pine Grove. Mr. Albert Hughes spent Thursday night with Mr. Joe Long, of Rebecca’s Chapel. Mrs. Tom Underwood has returned home after spending several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Will House. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Leake spent the week-end in Kingston, the guests ot the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gil lain. Mr. and Mrs. Dink Underwood spent Sunday afternoon with the latter’s brother, Mr. Luther Bell. Mr. and Mrs. Crawford Goode, of Cartersville, were the guests of Mr and Mrs. Jim Jordan Sunday. Mrs. Clayton Ray visited her sister Mrs. Joe Bell, one day last week. Mrs. Jim Jordan and two daughters Mrs. Tom Irwin and Miss Evelyn Jor dan, spent Monday afternoon with Mrs. H. E. Grover Cantrell and Harry Pinson visited friends and relathea near Atco Saturday and Sunday. Mr. Arthur Bozeman, of Wooley’s visited friends and relatives at this plate the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. A. Worley, of near ISonoraville, visited th< ir daughter Mrs. Mary Cantrell, the fitst of the I week. We are glad to report Mrs. R 1 G tiffin is better. The singing given at the home, of Mr. J. S. Cantrell Sunday night was very much enjoyed by all present. A party of the young people of ibis place went to the Anthony Cave ove on little Pine Log creek Sunday morn ing. Mr. Sam Woody happened to the misfortune of getting his ankle badly sprained one day last week. Mr. A. H. Edwards lost a fine cow last Saturday. The debate last Friday night was fine. The subject was: “resolved that motor power should take the place of horse power on public roads.” The af firmative won. The subject for next Friday is: “resolved that fire is more dc structive than water.” Several from here attended the ex ercises at Pine Log Friday. The Misses Kirby are still having a good school at Mt. Pleasant. Next Sunday is regular singing day at Mt. Pleasant. We want to see a large crowd out. You are invited. WILLOW SPRINGS. The farmers are glad to see this beautiful weather, for the time is her f when the farmers must get busy for their crops. Mr. and Mrs. Pickett Morris have returned from a visit to Cherokee. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Bradshaw spent Saturday night and Sunday with their daughter, Mrs. Dora Rollan, at Stiles boro. -Mrs. Morris, of Cherokee, is visit ing in our community this week. Mr. J. B. Bradshaw made a business trip to White Monday. Mr. John Jenkins and father were in Cartersville Monday on business. -Miss Bertie Bradshaw has returned from Atco. Miss Ida Jenkins was the gue it ot Miss Bertie Bradshaw one evening last week. Our school is out for this season at Stamp Creek and we wish Miss Aimer Boston much success with her sum mer term. Mrs. Emma Brown was visiting Mrs Archer Morris Monday. Mr. Charley Simpson had the mis fortune to get one of his mules badly hurt.
