A WONDER IJ
1 WONDER >rhen the people will come in
and pay off their accounts punctually at the
end of the year, or give their notes. 1 wonder
what is the reason that the uewspapers do not
teem with the importance of this subject; eve
ry *hing else seems to have many and able ac
vocutes, and yet this all-important it m to the
Merchant is left untouched. Will the people
never think of this? Will the time ever come
when every man will be punctual? How im
portant is this very one thing to all kinils of
trade ! It seems that the people are loosing
every thing like a sense of feeling, to put off
settlement until dunned for the money, before
they think they owe the debt. I hope this hon
