Services to Be Resumed at the Epis
copal Church.
Rev. Russell K. Smith, rector of the
Church of the Epiohany, Atlanta, has
arranged to hold services at St. Paul’s
Episcopal church one evening in each
week, (Monday,) and cordially invites
the good people of Newnan to co-oper
ate with him, to the end that the
weekly service may be made both in
teresting and profitable. Mr. Smith is
a pleasing talker, and an earnest and
consecrated worker in the Lord’s vine
yard. He asks the publication of the
following announcement—
“To the Citizens of Newnan ; Upon
the request of Bishop C. K. Nelson,
having oversight of all the Episcopal
congregation in the diocese of Atlanta,
J am arranging to begin again services
at the Episcopal church in your com
munity. which have been for some time
discontinued, and in this movement I
ask your earnest co-operation and sup
port. It will be my effort to add some
thing definite to the religious life of
the town of Newnan, and the county of
Coweta; to mingle as a minister of Je
sus Christ with your people, and to
foster a feeling of brotherly love and
Christian fellowship, rather than to
bring any contention or strife or relig
ious acrimony among you. The plan is
that our services shall be held in the
church building on Wesley street each
Monday night, and for me to spend
Monday of each week visiting m.v own
people, and any oLhers who may need
or desire m.v ministrations. To these
services I extend you all a most hearty
welcome, and assure you that our peo
pie will cordially receive you when you
come. The members of the Eniscopal
church and all other citizens who may
be interested in having thane services
conducted, are asked to meet me at the
church building at 4 o’clock on Mon
day, Oct. 18, in order that we may
confer as to ways and means. It is es
pecially important that this meeting
be well attended. The first service
will be held Monday evening, Oct. 18,
at 7:30 o’clock. You are invited to
come and take part in the services.
Familiar hymns will be sung, and the
service made easy for you to follow.
“Trusting that God’s blessing may
rest upon both you and us in this work.
I am most faithfully yours,
“Russell K. Smith.”

Great Sells-Floto Shows, which exhibit

The pageant will leave the grounds

and other paraphernalia will be drawn

When tne show comes to the city the

Finest Horses in the World.
Secretary of Agriculture Jas. M. Wil
son, who attended the Sells-Floto Com
bined shows recently, was loud Jin his
praise of the performance, and particu
larly so of the excellent exhibition given
by the world-famous $25,000 Armour
Grays—the prize-winning international
champions. Secretary Wilson said:
“Every farmer and his son should see
the Armour team; they are the largest
and most beautiful diaft horses in the
world. These powerful gray Percheron
geldings are a great attraction.”
This splendid and exceptional equine
exhibition has no duplicate with any
other circus, and their tour has been
marked with pronounced success abroad
and all the way from to Pacific coast up
to now, and is called the most worthy
high-class attraction that has ever been
toured with any circus. General Mana
ger W. E. Franklin, of the Sells-1 loto
Consolidated Shows, will gladly refund
the admission fee to any reputable citi-
zen where this big show is offered, pro
vided he is not satisfied with the excel
lent exhibition given by the Armour

clever whip. William (“Billy’’) Wales.

By buying your Groceries from us and paying cash
for them. No bills on the first of the month to be
worrying over. All goods bought at the lowest
prices. You don’t pay for goods sent to some one
else through mistake, and when the bill comes on
the first of the month you find that the price was
more than you thought. All these things have
happened to everyone who reads this ad.
MORAL:
Avoid these disagreeable things by buying at
our store. You see what you buy. know the price,
pay for it, and that is the end of it. Don’t you
think this is the better plan? Try it. We can
save you money.
It is useless to add that our stock is fresh and
complete in every respect, (.'all and examine our
goods.
Announcement
While we have been quiet, we have not been negligent of your interest or
ours. We have been very busy filling our shelves with the most attractive line
of fall and winter goods that has ever been shown in Turin. We made the ven
ture last spring of putting in a line of ladies’ dress goods and trimmings, which,
though comparatively small, met with such gratifying approval from our friends
and customers that it stimulated us to greater effort, and we have now added
other attractive lines to our stock. We will carry this season a beautiful line of
ladies’ coat suits. (These suits have advanced in price since we purchased.)
We wish to call special attention to our stock of shirt-waists, silk petti
coats, and it number of other ready-made garments that we have to offer you.
We have also a complete assortment of ladies’ neckwear. In fact, all the
new things in ties for your inspection. Also, jet necklaces, fancy pins, shirt
waist sets, belts in a great variety of styles, fancy scarfs, hand bags, and many
other articles too numerous to mention.
We are confident we can make you a better price that you have been ac
customed to paying, as the cost to us of doing business is much less than would
be the case in a larger town. We iisk, in justice to yourselves, that you inspect
our stock before buying. Respectfully,
