Mr. T. B. Parks, Sr., a well known
resident of this county, was brought
from Atlanta several days ago to the
home of his son-in-law, T. J. Wilkin
son, in Newnan. Mr. Parks is danger
ously ill and little hope is entertained
for his recovery.

The movement started some weeks
ago, which lmd for its object the estab
lishment of another cotton seed oil mill
in Newnan, has been carried to success,
and it is now assured that the mill will
he built. Work upon the buildings will
be commenced as soon as a suitable site
can he secured, and the projecters of the
plant promise that the plant shall he in
active operation by September 1 sc.—

The County Commissioners have had
grass planted in the court house yard
and in the borders around the tile
walks. Very soon an emerald carpet
will be spread around Coweta’s temple
of justice. The oity authorities have
had the well on the square filled up and
in Its place a water tank was sunk in
the ground on the south side of the
court house. The drinking fountains on
two sides of the court, house will he re
moved and a fountain will he placed at
each corner of the square.
