Mrs. J. M. Boone Passed Away w
Last Friday.
Mrs. <1. M. Boone, wile of one of
Go we tit’s well known citizens, died
last Friday afternoon at the resi
dence of her son, Mr. I). W.Boone,
in Newnan, after being in failing
health for three months.
.Mis. Boone was (i.'i years of age
and had lieen a member of the
Baptist elincell since childhood.
She was a noble, Christian woman;
one who was faithful to high ideals
in all the relations of life; her
passing away leaves a vacancy
til at cannot be filled in her family
and circle of friends, and many sad
and sorrowful hearts mourn her
departure from time to eternity.
The funeral of the deceased oc
curred last Saturday at .Macedonia,
the church of which she was a
member. in the presence of a
large concourse of people the sol
emn service was conducted by
Rev. F. J. Amis, assisted by Rev.
\\\ W. Hoop, of Carrollton, and
Rev. J. B. S. Davis, of Newnan.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her
husband, three sons and three
daughters. The sons are Messrs.
.1. W. Boone, of Atlanta, D. \V.
Boone, of Newnan, and J.K.Boone,
of Sargent. The daughters are
Mrs. W. T. Strickland, of Whites-
burg, Mrs. I. T. Mattox and Miss
Anna Boone, of this county.
