As this meeting is the last at which

of interest. So, also, last Sunday’s ser

his last for tha present conference yoar;
but his congregation here earnestly
hope that he will be returned to this
charge.
The recent rains, followed by glo
rious sunshine, have given the fall
gardens a luxuriance of verdure, and
string beans, turnipB, and line Irish
potatoes, fresh from the soil, are com
mon to the dinner table. Cotton fields
are green, but almost despoiled of the
fleecy staple.
