“GOLDEN RULE” SALE-DAY IN
CARROLLTON.
Carrollton Free Press.
Mnndny was tho first of the Golden
Rale Hide inaugurated by the farmers
of Carrollton. Tliero were many farmers
in town, and all day long the stores
were filled with buyers. Every clerk was
kept busy, m.d the bargains given by
our generous merchants wore eagerly
bought up. Some firms sold out their
special offerings before noon.
The best success of the day wns the
miction sale of farm stock and prduc.e.
Cattle mid pigs wore sold, and brought
satisfactory prices. In fact, the far
mers who brought stock to sell were so
wnfi well pleased with the returns that they
will bring something else next Golden
Rule diiy. This auction department will
become very popular, and be generally
patronized by Carroll county farmers.
From opening to close, the day wns a
success, mid everybody, both merchants
and farmers, were more than satisfied.
All will anxiously look forward to the
first Monday in November, when the next
Golden Rule sale day will be celebrated.
