Mrs. J. W. Lindsay is the guest of
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Price in Atlanta
this week.
Rev. C. J. Mailette will leave Mon
day for Cordele to attend the meeting
of the South Georgia Conference,
which will be held next week.
Mr. Lovick Lingo, of Milledge
ville, was a visitor to our city
this week.
NEILL BRANAN DIED
IN FLORIDA FRIDAY
The news of the death of Nr.
Neill Branan, of Green Cove
Springs, Fla., came as a shock
to his many relatives and friends
in Wilkinson County. He was
the son of Mr. and Mrs- C. M.
Branan, formerly of this city,
and he lived in Irwinton until he
was grown.
He died last Friday after an
illness of only a few days. His
remains wt re brought to Macon
and buried buried there Sunday
afternoon. Several of his rela
tives and friends of Wilkinson
county attended the funeral.
Grinding Days are Tuesdays
and Fridays, but I will s -ap meal
for corn at any time. —E. John

has a capacity of about 75 bush

mill, Mr. Johnson has installed a
Chopper mill and is prepared to
grind chops and feed stuff.

MR. G. W. PARKED

Mr. G. W. Parker died Monday
morning at his home in Blood
i worth District, about sew - miles ’
from Irwinton.
Mr. Parker has been a vw.•
active man and it was not unti’ i
a few weeks ago that his famih ।
realized that he was in declinin'-
health. He returned from th- i
Sanitarium in Sandersville last
Friday and it was then that his i
condition was considered serious.
Mr. Parker was 64 years old and
has been a resident of this Coun
ty, with the exception of two
years, his entire life. He was a
I prosperous farmer and was great
ly beloved bv the entire common- I
ity, for he was a man of the high
est Christian chai acter.
He is survived by his wife, who j
was Miss Anna Hughes before j
her marriage, one son, C. H. '
Parker, one daughter, Mrs. A. F. '
Pennington, three brothers, i
Messrs. Coleman. Newton and:
George Parker, two sisters, Mrs.
Vashti Helton and Mrs. Kitty
Hughes, five grandchildr-'n and
a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral was conducted by
Rev. J. L. Lawrence Tuesday
j afternoon at Mt. Nebo Cemetery.
