A LEITER FROM
• REV. A. S. AVANT
My dear Mr. Editor:
Indulge me for a few facts in
your valuable paper that I feel
i like I would like to say and for
I the readers to see that they might
know hew I feel towards the
good people of Wilkinson county
and Mclntyre church.
I have smarted on my ninth
year as pastor of Mclntyre Chill'll
and when I first came here the
little church only had fifteen
members all toll, and the house
just hulled in and seated. We
are glad to say that through the
mercies of the good Lord we now
have thirty-two members and
one of the best working churches
we ever served and we feel like
we are taking a high stand in the
Great Kingdom of the Lord with
our little house finished up and
painted and a two hundred pound
! bell on the church. We cant af
ford to personate but suffice to
say the people of Mclntyre are
and have been all that could be
expected to £heir pastor and their
kindness and devotion to me in
: my declining years has had much
to do in helping me to bear up
under the hardships we had past
through in trying to pastor them
for these many years. We feel
that we have fallen short in many
intances but you have helped me
in health and in the.hours of my
sore afflications you have willing
given me your prayers and sweet
words of cheer for words fitly
spoken are like apple of gold in
pictures of silver, Now let us
begin the new year with a strong
| faith and fight sin in every sense
of the word and the Lord will
brighten our prospect in our daily
avocation and strengthen our
sweet hope that in the sweet bye
and bye we will meet when sick
ness, sorrow, pain and death will
be felt and feared no more.
Fraternally *
A. S Avant, Pastor.

POTASH
IN FERTILIZERS
Germany has a world monopoly on commercial
potash and the European War has cut off America's
supply.
While the Southern Farmers cannot get Potash
in sufficient supply for the 1916 Cotton and Corn
crops there is more Potash in
COTTON SEED MEAL
than in other sources of ammonia. Cotton Seed
Meal in your fertilizer will do more to save the
farmers from a crop failure this season than any
other material. >
Have you calculated the value of the Potash con
tent of Cotton Seed Meal? Do not buy your am
moniate materia] without giving proper considera
tion to Cotton Seed Meal and its Potash value.
Cotton Seed Meal contains about 2% actual pot
ash (K 2 O) and 2%% actual phosphoric acid, be
sides from 7jj% bo 8% ammonia.
Mixed with 16% acid phosphate it will insure a
reasonably full crop for 1916.
