SOLICITOk-uENERAI s race !

Col. Emerson George is the List qual
iued lawyer for Soiicitor-Geuer.il, not
only in a legal way, but also in a
literary way. He graduated at Mercer
University and the University of Vir
ginia and taught at Mercer five years
before becoming a lawyer.
t
The Jones County News, comment
ing upon the candidacy of Hon. Emer- .
son H. George, tor Solicitor-General of ‘
the Ocmulgee circuit, has in part the *
following: “Col. George is one of the !
best lawyers in the circuit; has a large 1
acquaintance in every county thereof, ]
and his long experience at the bar em
; luentiy qualifies him for the position."
J Quite true. Emerson George is the
’ man to fill Joe Pottle’s shoes.” —The
Madisonian.
Hon. Emerson H. George of Madi
son, has announced for the office oi
Solicitor-General of the Ocmulgee cir
cuit from which Judge Pottle resigned.
Judge George is regarded as a lawyei
of eminent legal ability and one of the
strongest in the state. He carries his
conscience into his business and po
litical activities, and will not swerve
tro mwhat he believes to be right.
Should he be elected Solicitor-General
Law will be Law With him.” — The
Georgia Commonwealth.
His many DeKalb friends note with
pleasure the growing strength of the
candidacy of Hon. Emerson H. George
of Madison, for the office of Solicitor-
General of the Ocmulgee circuit. Col.
George is one of the strongest lawyers
of the state and one of the state’s best
citizens. The better the people know
him the more earnesly will they sup
port him. Indeed he should be over
whelmingly elected.” — DeKalb New
Era.
Hon. Emerson H. George has an
nounced lor the office of Solicitor-
General of the Ocmulgee circuit. Col.
George is well known in Sylvania,
where he has at intervals been the
guest.oj Judge E. K. Ove street. Ho
is a lawyer of eminent ability and
high character, just such a man
great judicial circuit like the Ocmul
gee.—The Sylvania Telephone.
The friends of Hon. Emerson H.
George note with pleasure his candi
dacy for the office of Solicitor-General
of the Ocmulgee Circuit. Col George
is not only a lawyer of unusual ability,
but a man of strong character and
courage. If he is elected, as he doubt
less will be, the criminal laws of the
Ocmulgee circuit will be enforced
without fear or favor. —Millen News.
\ The charge that Col. George should
■ not be elected because he "has a good
Practice—does not need the office” is
\ very reason why he should be
^.ected. If many clients trust him with
their cases, the State can trust him
as Solicitor-General.
And they say "George should not be
elected because he is a farmer.” it is
true he is Interested in farming, but
he attends to his law b.slness, as all
I hi! clients will attest. If he aHo en
■ joys’farming, whose business is it?
