Water and Lights
In Irwinton
Reminds one of Atlanta —thia way
of keeping the streets torn up all the
time for laying water pipes.
There are several fine springs on
the outer rim of town and the deli
cious and refreshing water is being
piped into many hemes.
The Delco people, who are making
country look like city, have r^one
much good in Irwinton. The lights
of this city on the hill couldn’t be
hid under several bushels.
These homes have been and are be
ing fitted with the modern conveni

Our Sunday school is doing fine.
Large attendance every Sunday.
Prayer service was held at Mrs
Singletary's Saturday night. 'Mr
Barlow conducted the service and we
( had some fine music and singing.
, Miss Leachie and Miss Gray, guests
of Miss Davis, sang a beautiful solo.
Miss Leachie played the piano and
Miss Gray the guitar.
Mr and Mrs J. E. Stokes and
children, Mrs R. F. Sapp and son
spent the latter part of the week in
I Hawkinsville and Cochran.
Mr Will Brooks and Miss Liziie
Fountain were married last Saturday
night. We wish for them a long and
happy life.

The turkey dinner given at the
home of Mr and Mrs A. T. Veal the
Fourth was greatly enjoyed by all
present. Had a nice table of good
things and a twenty-five pound gob
bler to go along with it. Those
present were Mr and Mrs F. D.
Stokes, Mr and Mrs W. G. Johnson
of Dudley, Mrs Laura Fountain and
children. Mr and Mrs Jack Dennard
Mr and Mrs Henry Brewer, Mr and
Mrs R. F. Sapp, Mr and Mrs J. E.

It was a day wo will remember for

Miss Mary Hoover visited her niece
little Miss Stuckey who is quite sick
