BIG BAPTIST CAMPAIGN
Ihe first tap in the Baptist seventy

had been expected or could hate
b n wished for. f
With this beginning, and with
three months yet to complete the

MAKE MORE INTEREST
The one million persons and cor
porations in the Sixth Federal Re
s.’rve District who bought Third
Liberty Bonds will have an oppor
tunitv of turning in:erest into more
interest on September 15, ’ Mrs Rosa
L. Lindsey, postmaster of Irwinton,
said today.
'“On that date the Government
will make a semi-annual payment on
the Third Liberty Loan Bonds, am
ounting to the sum of $88,750,981.81.
The Treasury Department is urging
that bond holders reinvest their inter
est in Thrift and War Savings Stamps
and thus keep their dollars working.
“Making a wealth heap has two
processes —addition and multiplica
tion.
“Saving is addition —a dollar and
a dollar and a dollar. It comes easi
er as-one goes along but the increase
is no faster next year than now.
When you set the dollar to work —
that is multiplication. Your pile
grows slowly this year, a little faster
still a little faster and faster and fast
er till interest outruns saving.
War Savings Stamps do more than
add dollar to dollar. They begin to
multiply. No better investment
could be found for your interest cou
pons. Remember this oh September
15th.,’
