CARSWELL CAMPAIGN
: 1
Little less than a month the
people of this State will say who they
want for Governor. The indications -
now are that they will choose a Wil
“kinson County man. Carswell is
gaining strength every day. Holder
is losing. J. O. Wood and Harde- -
man are not cutting much--ice in the
race. The race started between |
Carswell and Holder and it has
crystalized between the two. Mr. |
Carsvell is making speeches in every
saction of the State. Holder is not
addressing the voters. If he goes out
he will have to meet Mr. Carswell in
joint debate. He will not do that.
He knows that if he does it will be
another Talmadge and Brown affair
onlyyworse for him. He knows that
Mr. Carswell has the best side for
argument. Holder is expecting to
win on two words-no bonds. Mr.
Hardwick told him to say that. That'
will ot take Lim through. There
was a tume that people could be easily
fooled. It capnot be done now.
The truth will out. Candidates are
going over this State crying bonds
and laxation. They are playing on
the s.de that is they think *most
popular. It is the fundamental law
of this land- - That no bond bill can
pass the legislature until the people
have first voted onit The people
and not the Ropresenatives and
Governors are the ones who SAY they
want Bonds or do not want them.
No Legislature can even pass a tax
law without the People first voting on
the change. Mr. Carswell says in
his platform that it is for the people
to decide on thie auestion. If Mr

Holder is elected it is the same way.
The Legislature can submit it to the
people regardless who is elected.
The bond question is not a real issue.
It is just & political foot ball. Mr.
Curswell says: Let the people say
and down on machine politics in
Georgia, The people are opposed to
machine politics, they are willing to
vote on the question of bonds because
it is right. Everything is pointing in
favor of Mr. Carswell’s wiuning.

Shall Their Memory Live
Or Eventually Die?
Unless you place a memorial of durability to those graves, the
memory of those loved ones who slumber there wi'l eventually
fade away. So that the future generations may know they have
once lived and died, mark their graves with ‘‘Good For All Time”’
