Central of Georgia Railway Extends Seasons Greetings
to its Friends and Patrons
* • 1
The Central of Georgia Railway again takes this means of extending to its friends of the
traveling and shipping public its best wishes tor a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous
New Year. The management is deeply grateful for the patronage received and the good will ev
idenced toward the railroad in the year about to close. The Central of Georgia looks back upon
the old year with satisfaction and to the new j ear with confidence.
X,
The year Nineteen Twenty Six has been in all respects the most successful in the history of
this railway. Reports for the first eleven months show that by the end of the year the Central of
Georgia will have handled the greatest traffic in its history, and this without any shortage of trans
portation Although handling the largest traffic ever offered in any twelve months period, the rail
road’s sc vice has been the best and most efficient ever.given its patrons.
The management of this railroad is not selfish in expressing satisfaction ever its increasing
traffic. A railway’s traffic inceases only as the territory it serves grows and develops. Increas
ing traffic of the Central of Georgia indicates that the Southeast has the essentials for growth and
development, which snould continue during the years ahead, bringing permanent prosperity to the
patrons of this railroad. It is with this hope and belief that the management looks to the future
with optimism.
Efficiency of operation can be found only on a railway where the management enjoys the
loyal co-operation of its employes. The high standard of efficiency maintained during the current
year is evidence that the eleven thousand employes of the Central of Georgia are giving this kind y
of co operation to the management, in the effort to render the best possible service to the public ’
upon whose patronage and good will the earnings of both the company and its employes depend.
It is with the pledge to continue, and to improve, this service that the employes and the manage
ment of the Central of Georgia Railway extend the season’s greetings to the company’s friends and
patrons.
Constructive criticisms and suggestions are invited.

Did you ever hear of a “sinking fund”? It Jgoes by various
names, but that is a good one. Lt means a part of the profits set
aside for a certain purpose.
When times are good or just normal,| set| aside every month a
part of your profits, letting it accumulate in your bank. It w4l
draw interest, and some day, when business is very bad that sink
ing fund will come in handy.
